Jonathan would like to hear your suggestions for sticky situations you'd like to see him escape from in the future!
There's a list of escapes he's already done on the shows page, so get your thinking caps on and let's see what we can come up with. Who knows - your idea may just get chosen to be featured in the next series or a web-exclusive video clip!
How about an old-fashioned tied to a chair hands handcuffed AND feet tied, a 100ft of rope overall, barefoot (so, no hidden picks in socks) gagged with a bandanna (so, no picks in mouth), blindfolded so he can't see what he's doing, in a chair that is suspended on a board over a tank of water that if he doesn't make it out in less than 5 mins will fall in. Please show the tying up part so we know the knots are real etc. (plus it's always fun to hear Jonathan's comments during the process).
Wrist cuffs & arm cuffs. Arms to the front.
Mouth gag (for safety this may have to be omitted)
Legs and ankles bound. Ankle binds connected to wrist cuffs.
Ankles bound to rope connected to ski boat.
Ski boat moving through the water at a high rate of speed towing Jonathan.
I would suggest fresh water.

Different view of a classic.
Jonathan suspended inverted over water.
Straight jacket.
Ankles bound.
Diving weight belt and weights around waist.
Timer set to release cord holding ankles to suspension rig after X minutes pass. Not sure how much time to give Jonathan here.
Get out of jacket, weight belt and ankle restraints before timer runs out.
If Jonathan doesn't beat the timer the weight belt keeps him from floating until he gets out of jacket and weight belt. Take a deep breath!
The header image on the site and the bath tub escape from the One Way Out pilot in '08 have inspired me.
For this to take place Jonathan and the crew will need.
Barbed wire.
6 cinder blocks.
Plenty of rope.
Metal pipes. Perhaps steel for weight.
Plywood / lumber.
The top part of the design is a rectangular platform with holes in it. Jonathan would lay on this platform
There would be a small hole arm's length above Jonathan's head as he lays on the table. His wrists would be restrained with rope and then a rope would connect the wrist tie to a hanging cinder block. There would be a small hole under Jonathan's ankles.
The ankles would be restrained with rope and that restraint connected by another rope to a hanging cinder block, similar to the wrists.
There would be two holes mid chest level and to the side of Jonathan's body. A rope would pass through these holes to hanging cinder blocks. This would work to restrain his upper body.
There would be two holes mid thigh level and to the side of Jonathan's legs. A rope would pass through these holds to hanging cinder blocks. This would work to restrain his lower body.
There would be three holes on each side of the table. Each hole has a metal pipe rising through it. The pipes have barbed wire connecting them at the top across the platform (ie, they are crossing over Jonathan.) The bottom of the pipes are connected together on each side so they form one unit. Think heavy angle bar or steel bars here.
These base these pipes are connected to rests upon a fall away shelf on each side. When the timer expires the shelves fall away allowing the pipes to fall and the barbed wire to trap Jonathan to the table, provided he hasn't manged to escape yet.
There is a risk of pain and discomfort here but no risk of life. The barbed wire and the restraints are not connecting to the eyes/throat/major arteries/etc....
The only thing I can't quite narrow down is how long to give Jonathan and how to rig the shelves to fall (burning rope that holds them together, pneumatic rods that will pull them down, Terry laughing like a maniac as he kicks the support out from under them, etc....)
The attached image isn't to scale but gives a general visualization of the concept.
i HAVE LOTS OF THEM. For example how to escape in only 2 seconds from a straitjacket!!
2: Escape from a giant steel ball
etc. I have drawings and plans about it....
